  • Womans club names seven Daisy Award winners

    The GFWC Clearwater Community Womans Club in the Clearwater-Largo, Florida community recently named seven non-profit organizations as Daisy Award winners. The winners received grants of $1,000 each at the Clubs 41st annual Daisy Fashion Show that it holds at the Belleair Country Club. The Womans Clun no doubt used flyer printing to make the public aware of the Daisy Award winners and their contributions to the community.

  • CNN names Florida Keys coral expert as CNN Hero

    On Friday, March 9, CNN named Ken Nedimyer, a coral restoration expert in the Florida Keys and founder and president of the Coral Restoration Foundation in Key Largo, a CNN Hero for his efforts in developing techniques that preserve coral reefs. Nedimyer no doubt has been using printing services to generate public support to attract vacationers to the area who are environmentally conscious, another effort of his responsible for achieving the award.

  • Walmart grocery store coming to San Ramon

    Walmart, the superstore giant, is planning to build one its Neighborhood Markets in the Country Club Village Shopping Center in South San Ramon, Florida which is near Largo, Florida. The company is using printing services to print information for construction companies that are interested in bidding on the project. Walmart is expecting the bidding process to be closed by February 23 with an opening of the store by December, according to the San Ramon economic development director, Marc Fontes.

  • Seafood festival will take place in Key Largo last weekend of January

    The third annual Key Largo Stone Crab and Seafood Festival will be held the weekend of January 28 and 29 at Rowells Marina Property which is located at mile marker 104.5 along the bayside. The event is being sponsored by the Key Largo Fisheries and Key Largo Merchants Association, with all event proceedings going to benefit the Florida Keys Youth Sports. The Fisheries and the Merchants Association are using printing services to produce flyers and posters to distribute around the state to attract visitors to the event and additional brochures for travel agents to bring tourists into the area for the weekend.

  • Florida Botanical Gardens presents Holiday Lights in the Gardens starting Friday

    Holiday Lights in the Gardens begins its 38-day run at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, Florida on Friday night, December 2, with a tree lighting ceremony in the Wedding Garden, a train exhibit by the Florida Garden Railway Society and live entertainment. The display of sparkling lights and lasers and illuminated flora and fauna is expected to bring in more than 50,000 people to the Gardens before the display ends on January 1.
